DescriptionThis mod does many of the same things my other mod [BetterGhostPotions](http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2417/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fwitcher3%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2417%26preview%3D&pUp=1) does but adds animations to potion drinking, eating, drinking, sword oiling and  
gear improvements along with QOL improvements to combat and movement animations. The **Big change** is it tries to make health something you have to manage in battle, similar to how Dark Souls works. If you have a potion in the potion slot and use it, Geralt cannot move for 3,5 seconds while drinking it. On top of that I changed Swallow to only heal a few seconds after you drink it. No more Call of duty-like passive regeneration. This makes combat more tactical; you have to make sure you don't die while you are drinking potions now.

I've also Implemented some of the changes from [Quicker Combat and misc animations](http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2031/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fwitcher3%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2031%26preview%3D&pUp=1) by **WonDoe,** but made them more subtle.  
  
-The Idea is to make meditation more meaningful and have the potions you drink matter. I’m going for more of a Dark Souls feel where you rest between bonfires and then set out into the wilderness and hope to survive until the next bonfire. Because of this[Preparations Mod](http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/750) by **wghost81**is pretty much mandatory.  
*--I suggest default settings in Meditation presets of Preparations Mod **but** with  
“disallow spawning campfire”   
toggled to on.  
--If you want to be able to make your own campfires you should probably max out the timber and hardened timber costs.  
--*You should also increase the cost of potion making in the Alchemy menu to either full or base and herbs**  
---Important---  
* There are two versions of the mod available, Pure and Augmented. Pure only has animations for drinking and changes to potions. Augmented has some sped up animations and more. For specifics on what features are in each version see the tables in the pictures. Only download one of the versions.
* I'm pretty sure you need Blood and Wine dlc for this mod to work. As I'm using animations from it.
* *Some scripts in this mod are kind of hard to merge with other mods but it's possible. [Check the video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hngexHpNosk) if you are having problems.*
* I'm also open to feedback on balancing Swallow and the other potions to make it more tactical/interesting. Right now, i feel Swallow heals too much for too long. More testing needed

Updating  
Copy and paste **modDSPotions**into your **mods** folder, overwriting everything.   
If you are switching between Augmented and Pure delete modDSPotions in your mods directory first.  
Installing  
· Install [**GhostMode**](http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/992)and [PreparationsMod](http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/750) by wghost81  
· Unzip and move thefolder modDSPotions to The Witcher 3 game folder\Mods  
· Make sure Dark SoulsPotions has higher priority than Ghost Mode mod. If you haven’t  
changed any mod priorities in   
  
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\The Witcher 3\mods.settings   
  
this shouldn’t be an issue, as it takes priority alphabetically. If you  
have issues, set priorities. See below picture.

· Merge the scripts that need merging with script merger. Video below shows how to merge DSPotions with Friendly Hud, Immersive camera, Ghost Mode and Preparations  
  
Uninstall  
Delete the modDSPotions folder from The Witcher 3 game folder\Mods  
   
Recommended mods-If you want faster animations than what mine provides delete the locomotionDirectController.ws script in this mods
