It seems that blunt bludgeoning weapons would be more effective against the bare bones of skeletons than edged types of weapons. This mod aims to make that a reality. You should notice extra damage done to skeletons when striking them with any mace or warhammer. The damage is done over a 7 second span, so you will definitely be able to tell whether it's working. The "Heavy" version does 7 pts per second, the medium does 5 pts per sec, and the Light version does 3 pts per second. The effects DO STACK, so multiple strikes in a short time will make a noticeable drain on the skeleton's health.  
  
This creation of mine is working properly on my own game, but of course I always have to re-create it on it's own esp when I upload to Nexus, and so please do give feedback to let me know if it is properly working for you. The mechanism runs in the form of a "perk" that should automatically be added to your character, which I'm hoping will work immediately even on an existing playthrough, but let me know...  
  
NOTE - If you have another mod that edits the records for the NPC "Player" "Adventurer" (ID 00000007), you'll need to make a patch or otherwise this mod will only work properly if loaded AFTER the conflicting mod (in which case the other mod may not function properly).  
  
Attn... I've now added patches that would account for every possible combination of the Axes vs Spriggans mod and the Maces vs Skeletons mod (9 possible combos) to work together! If you are using both mods and don't know how to merge/patch them yourself, feel free to use the appropriate patch esp (the patch must load AFTER the 2 regular esp's).  
(these patches are located in the OPTIONAL FILES section of the MACES VS SKELETONS mod)
