This mod is an addon for MineColonies that provides a simple way to install the 9x9 stylepack, allowing you to build colony buildings inspired by Direwolf20's favourite building design.

(Note: this style pack is not sponsored or affiliated with Direwolf20 in any way; I'm just a long-time viewer with a similar aesthetic sense.)

Installation

Just install it like any other mod.  You'll need MineColonies and its dependencies as well, of course.

If you've previously installed an older version of this pack as a loose folder, you should also delete that.

Playing

When using a supply camp, supply chest, or the build tool, you'll see a "Direcolonies" section containing the "9x9" style pack.  Select that to use this style.

The supply camp is a classic dirt hut, containing a guide book and a pre-placed town hall.  You should normally be able to build up the town hall where it sits, though in some cases you might need to break it and place it again using the build tool.  When placed properly, the town hall will convert the dirt hut into a normal cobble 9x9, and then upgrades further from there by adding on the usual expansion rooms.  The town hall is intended to be a player home as well, where you can build your own machines if you wish.  Upgrades will not destroy most of the contents, although they will repair the walls if you've dug tunnels through them.

The supply ship is of course a 9x9 on a barge.  It contains a guide book and town hall as well, but not pre-placed; you'll have to pick a suitable location on land to place the town hall yourself.

The colony buildings are designed to be very tightly placed -- each building overlapped by one block on all sides, in turn leaving one block of space between the walls of adjacent buildings.  There's a grid decoration that you can either place or just call up in preview to help you line things up if you need it.  Having said that, this is just a suggested placement and you're free to place things further apart if you like, especially if you're building your colony in hilly terrain at different elevations.

There's two different versions of the warehouse -- one is normal, and the other is integrated with couriers (2 courier huts per level) so that you don't need to place them separately.  You can use whichever one you prefer, or even both if you want more than one warehouse.

Similarly, there's two different versions of the miner -- one is the regular miner, and the other is a smaller variant that is intended only to hire a quarrier (it omits the mineshaft).  Also of note is that the simple quarry is a mining staircase -- while it looks really large it won't actually overwrite that much area on the surface -- but it will take up space underground.  You can even extend the staircase further once it's completed if you wish.

Finally, there's two different versions of the plantation -- one is the classic style, with integrated sugarcane, bamboo, and cactus fields, and the other is a smaller variant intended to be used with separately placed fields.  Currently the 9x9 pack only includes a few of the possible field types (the ones that seemed the most useful, considering the kinds of blocks used in the style as well).  If you do want to use a different kind of plantation field, you'll either need to substitute one from another style, request that one be added, or just make your own!

Most other buildings are fairly self-explanatory if you're familiar with MineColonies already, or are explained in the guide book.  All buildings from level 2 and up are filled with placeholders, allowing you to decorate the interior and exterior however you like -- while some functional blocks may be added each level, these will usually be in the center of the hut, leaving your wall decorations alone.  There's also some "empty" buildings in the "infrastructure" section that you can place if you want another 9x9 or 9x19 for your own purposes, along with some decorative walls and paths.

Feedback

If you have any comments or issues, you can leave them here.  Otherwise I'm also usually fairly active in the official MineColonies discord (as Mirality), so you could try to catch me there when I'm online.
