 **The Forgotten Realms**  
The Forgotten Realms is a fantasy world setting, described as a world of strange lands, dangerous creatures, and mighty deities, where magic and supernatural phenomena are quite real. Magic and magical items are therefore quite abundant in this fantasy world.  
                                                                                                           
                                                                                                             
  
  
  
**What This Mod Brings To The BG3 D&D Playing Table**   
  
This mod aims to bring Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare, and Legendary magical items from the Forgotten Realms universe into BG3.   
All these items are directly from the ***5e rule set***, and I have re-created the official icons and tooltips to represent them.   
None of these items are in game by default, or in the unused assets shipped with the game.   
Larian Studios has steered clear of most of the interesting  rarities found in the realms.   
This mod, "***Rarities Of The Realms***" changes this by adding some of the interesting and unique items   
you could/would potentially be using, if you were playing an actual live table top campaign of DnD.  
  
                                                                                                           
                                                                                                             
  
  
**Rarities Added**  
Currently there are 28 new items added to BG3. Effects and spells attached to these items match up with the ***5e rule set*** as close as possible.   
Some items may need some future tweaking. But this mod is **currently in Early Access**, so I'll keep updating it as much as possible.  
  
**Note:** *Items that aren't rings, armour, or shields, use the "Amulet" armour slot. The belts use the underwear slot.*

**Item Locations**﻿**Location 1 (Cheat)**  
  
Right now you can find all the items for free in a chest when you first start a new game.  
The **Cartilaginous Chest** (AKA Tutorial Chest) in the dead end room of Mind Flayer ship,  
the one with the health potion, has all the unique/rare items from this mod.

**Location 2 (Acquire legitimately)**  
  
You can also buy the items from the first merchant(**Arron**) you meet at The Hollow in the **Druids Den**.

**Note:** Prices at merchants may change in future updates to adjust for gameplay balance.  
  
  
**Location 3 (Acquire legitimately)**  
  
The items have now been seeded***(Since v1.15)*** throughout the **Act 1** game world. You can find them in specific loot drops,   
chests/containers, and some traders will have some of the rare items as well.  
  
  
**Future Locations**  
      
 Eventually these items, and some new items will be spread across the expanded game world in **Acts 2 and 3**.

**More Items Soon**  
I haven't got through the whole list of rare items yet, but working my way. I plan on re-creating as many as possible.   
This depends on the restrictions on how BG3 has been developed.   
Some items may never come to pass due to the way the game engine works.  
  
**New Models**  
Currently there are no new world models to represent these rarities. But, I've matched them up with the best possible alternatives that I could find.  
Also, Belts have no physical model that shows on the player.  
New models could eventually be in this mods future though. I've worked with .GR2 model formats in the past with my mod for

So adding new models this early in BG3's development without an official modding

**Compatibility**  
This mod has been packaged in such a way that it will/should be compatible with any mod in your load order.  
This mod uses a merged treasure tables function, it adds to your TreasureTable.txt and doesn't overwrite it.  
  
  
  
  
                                                                                                             
  
**Install**  
See below for a few different install methods available for popular Mod Managers used for Baldur's Gate 3.   
Also, manual install methods have been included. Please choose the method that is right for you.  
  
**Note:** *There are no loose files install methods for this mod*.  
  
  
**Method 1 - VORTEX:**  (Use **Vortex** to install automatically)  
  
**Method 2** - **BG3 Mod Manager*:***  
  
1. Extract the archive.  
2. Copy paste the ROTR.pak file into C:\Users\YourPCName\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods  
3. Open BG3 Mod Manager and drag the mod from the right window to the left window.  
4. Click the "Export Order To Game" button (this writes the mod settings)  
5. Install complete, start your game  
  
  
**Method 3** - **Manual*:***  
  
1. Extract the archive.  
2. Copy the ROTR.pak file from the extracted archive.  
3. Paste into: C:\Users\(Your PC Name)\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods  
4. Navigate to: PlayerProfiles\[Profile Name]\modsettings.lsx  
5. Open modsettings.lsx with your notepad or similar app.  
6. Make sure your modsettings look like this: NOTE - These lines can be copied from below

7. Save the file
