Find the [Deck of Many Things](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Deck_of_many_things) from the tabletop game in your adventure! Adds all 22 possible effects from the sourcebook, with liberties taken in their implementation (see below). ﻿  
  
**Requires Script Extender.**  
  
  
  
**MOD CONTENT:**  
  
* Find 3 variants of the deck, one in each act: Tarnished (Rare), Incomplete (Very Rare), and Complete (Legendary)
* Tarnished and Incomplete both have 13 cards (though 8 of them are damaged in the Tarnished deck) and the complete deck has all 22 cards.
* Effects can range from summoning an angry devil, to acquiring a rare and valuable gem, or getting a unique buff or malady until the next long rest.
* Cards are unweighted. Meaning they all have the same chance of being pulled.
* Spice up your next Honour or Iron-Mode run!
* See the spoiler below for a list of all the possible effects.
* An optional file is available that adds the decks to the tutorial chest.

  
**HOW IT WORKS:**  
  
After acquiring one of the decks, right click it and choose "Draw Card". You will draw one of the cards and its spell will take effect immediately. Afterward, you will receive a condition which prevents you from drawing again until the next long rest.

Each character in the party can draw a single card each day.

***Due to how the effects form the sourcebook are and how disruptive or downright impossible their "true" implementation would be, I've taken heavy liberties in how I've made the effects. My logic was to make them effects that won't drastically change the game but are still interesting and can be repeated.***  
  
**POSSIBLE EFFECTS:**  
  
I've spoiled these in case you want to experience finding them out for yourself.

* **Balance\*\***: Simulates a free long rest.
* **Comet\*\***: Your next weapon attack does an extra 10d10 Force damage.
* **Donjon\*\***: You are imprisoned in a stasis until the next long rest. Cannot be dispelled.
* **Euryale**: Receive [Cursed: Dread](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Bestow_Curse:_Dread) until the next long rest. Can be dispelled.
* **Fates\*\***: Receive a Mindflayer Tadpole Specimen.
* **Flames\***: Summons a hostile level 10 Cambion.
* **Fool\*\***: -2 to Spell Save DC and Attack until next long rest.
* **Gem\*\***: Acquire the Perfect Illimited Blood Diamond, worth 50,000 gold. Good luck finding a buyer.
* **Idiot\*\***: All abilities are reduced by 2 until next long rest.
* **Jester\***: +2 to Spell Save DC and Attack until next long rest.
* **Key\***: Main Hand weapon receives +1 and becomes magical until next long rest.
* **Knight\***: +2 AC until next long rest.
* **Moon\***: Can freely cast [Moonbeam](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Moonbeam) at Level 6 once per combat before next long rest.
* **Rogue\***: Disadvantage on all Charisma checks until next long rest.
* **Ruin\***: The party loses 5,000 gold. If you don't have 5,000 gold, you lose all your gold.
* **Skull**: Gain vulnerability to all types of damage until next long rest.
* **Star**: All abilities are increased by 1 until next long rest.
* **Sun\***: The party gains 5,000 gold.
* **Talons\*\***: Take 100 Slashing Damage.
* **Throne**: Gain +5 Persuasion and Intimidation until next long rest
* **Vizier\*\***: Can cast a special variant of [Arcane Recovery](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Arcane_Recovery) up to Level 6 once before next long rest.
* **Void**: Health reduced by 75% and size class reduced by 1 until next long rest.

**COMPATIBILITY:**  
  
Should be compatible with everything.  
  
[Better Tooltips](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/6324) and [Better Inventory UI](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4597) have built in support for the legendary version of the deck, marking it as Artifact rarity with a special border.  
  
**INSTALLATION:**  
  
* Install [BG3 Script Extender](https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/releases)
* Place the .pak file in your mods directory (AppData/Larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3/Mods)
* Enable the mod using BG3 mod manager
