Bard Subclass - Dirge
The Dirge - A spooky Bard subclass
**> **This mod is no longer being maintained, the Dirge has now become a subclass of my Gunslinger class.I will continue to do bug fixes on this version, but no new content will be added.
If you enjoy this or any other mod I make I would appreciate any small donations you feel able to make.
This Bard specializes in necrotic effects and influence over life and death. Using Bardic magic to pierce the veil between life and death the Dirge can harm enemies and summon undead hordes to assist them. Especially accomplished Dirge's can even focus their song and their willpower to bring an ally back from death. The Dirge travels from town to town, assisting in end of life ceremonies. The Dirge interacts often with the realms of death and carries the "scent" of those other places. As a result, undead are drawn to them. To protect themselves, they wield beautiful flintlocks* with hand carved grips etched with runes that empower their weapons to both heal their allied undead units and inflict extra damage upon enemy undead. *** Yes, you can use bows or crossbows. Flintlocks are where its at though! On the pure technical side, the Dirge shares many similarities with the Necromancer and even gets access to Necromancer subclass features at later levels. You might consider this as being kind of a Necromancy Lore Bard. Requirements
- Norbytes Script Extender
- Compatibility Framework and Community Library
- Valkrana's Spellbook - many of the Dirge's spells comes from this
- Elemental Spells - I use this for the necrotic magic missiles and plan to use it more for upcoming effects.
- Shivero's Icon Library - required by Elemental Spells
- VFX Library by Shivero - required by Elemental Spells
The following mods are not strictly required, but I designed this class around necrotic damage, gunplay, and undead control. Without these "optional" mods my mod won't play the way I intended it to. HIGHLY Recommended* Firearms - for flintlocks and muskets
- **Firearms addon for Tombstone Undead** - for compatibility with Tombstone Undead
- Tombstone Undead - Adds flintlock and musket wielding skeletons to the vanilla summon undead spell
- Animate Dead ++ - Required by Tombstone Undead. Includes a lot of QoL stuff for undead summoning.

Future Plans
There will always be bugs to fix and power imbalances to adjust.
Additional shots that will do different effects depending on if the target is dead or alive.
Probably add in some more Valkrana spells.
Replacement ability icons.
13-20 dummy progression is in place. I may or may not extend the progression beyond level 12 for real.

Huge thanks to the modders who make this possible!!
AnxietyTheOrk - for the Firearms mod. This is probably my most favorite mod. I have used it in every playthrough and I have also leveraged it in two of my own subclass mods.
actualsailorcat - for Valkrana's spellbook. My mod wouldn't be complete without it.
StarEMC2 - for Tombstone undead. LOVE IT!!
Shivero - for the awesome elemental Magic MIssiles and the wonderful VFX which I also use A LOT.
